Q.  Is Abode a hotel?
A. 
No. Our properties are fully furnished residential apartments.

Q.  How much are your rates?
A. 
Rates vary depending on the location and the particular apartment.  Abode deals exclusively in No-Fee, furnished, New York apartments.  Rates begin at $250 nightly. Stays are subject to applicable state and city taxes.

Q.  Do you respond to every inquiry?

We will gladly respond to your request if we have availability.

Q.
  How long is your minimum stay?
A.
 Minimum stays begin at 7 nights.  Some properties may be able to accommodate shorter stays.

Q.  How can I pay for my reservation?
A. 
Cash, cashier's checks, checks, traveler's checks, American Express, Discover, Visa/MasterCard and Bank Transfer are all accepted.  Arrange payment details with Abode at time of reservation.

Q.  How do I book with Abode?
A.  
Please call one of our agents at (800) 835-8880 or (212) 472-2000 to determine availability.  Please have your arrival and departure dates, number in your party, size of apartment required, preferred area and budget ready when you call. You can also submit a completed "Contact Us" form located on this site.

Q.  How do we get our keys?
A. 
In most cases the concierge or doorman will provide you with the key.  If not, the owner of the apartment will greet you.  Arrangements should be made at the time of booking and reconfirmed prior to arrival.

 Q.  How do we return our keys?
 A. 
On departure, keys should be left in the apartment or with the  doorman depending on the arrangements you made previously with the owner.

Q.  What time is check-in or check-out?
A.  
Check-in is 2pm and check-out is 11am.  It may be possible to arrange for early check-in or later check-out time with the owner if circumstances permit.

Q.  Does Abode charge a security deposit?
A. 
For stays of less than a month there is no security deposit required.  For a one month stay 50% of the monthly rate is required.  For stays of two months or more 100% of the monthly rate is required as a security deposit.  The balance of the security deposit will be returned after final departure once bills are deducted.

Q.  What is Abode's policy on cancellations?
A. 
Payments on reservations cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival date are NONREFUNDABLE.  Deposits (25%) on reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to arrival date (minus a $50 booking fee) will be applied to a future booking with us within 6 months.  Reservations which are booked as "NONREFUNDABLE" supersede all other refund policies.  No refunds or adjustments after arrival.

Q.  How are the apartments equipped?
A. 
Most apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, television, cable, telephone (local calls only), answering machine, voicemail, hair dryer, iron and clock radio.  Bedrooms and baths are supplied with linens and towels.  Other apartments may include a  microwave, stereo/CD player, Broadband Internet, VCR/DVD player, balcony, jacuzzi, pool, Sports Club.

Q.  Do you have laundry facilities?
A. 
Most buildings have laundry facilities onsite.  Some apartments have their own washers and dryers and for those that don't there are generally laundromats within 3 blocks.

Q.  Are there charges for local phone calls?
A.  
There is no charge for local calls.

Q.  Is there maid service?
A.  
Additional maid service is optional, but can usually be arranged.

Q.  Should I clean the apartment prior to departure?
A.  
No.  The exit cleaning is included in the cost of your stay.
